Build in public, keep the managed platform durable

GitCaster is becoming the public contribution surface for Caster developers. The developer layers are Apache 2.0. The managed platform remains a commercial service so the network can support hosted reliability, custody, billing, and larger-scale operations.

Latest public layers

New developer layers give contributors local proof surfaces without exposing managed infrastructure.

public-alpha

External audit intake packet

Bounded public review scope, auditor packet, proof imports, and audit-completion blockers are now public-alpha. This is not an external audit completion claim.

Capabilities

Scoped local capability helpers, deterministic hashes, signature checks, resource-prefix checks, redaction helpers, and abuse-blocker fixtures are now public-alpha.

CasterDID identity

DID helpers, public-key fingerprints, local key-path helpers, signed mutation envelopes, and public-key-only fixtures are now public-alpha.

Protocol types

Typed identities, capabilities, repo records, event names, statuses, content types, error codes, fixture catalog, and placeholder-only envelope examples are now public-alpha.

Agent skills notes

Agent-facing MCP skill notes, tool schemas, local fixtures, and structured blockers are now public-alpha for local inspection.

Caster Intelligence preview shell

Redacted builder-tool shell, local fixture, data-rights blockers, and static preview proof are now public-alpha without source or runtime claims.

App shell local preview smoke

Static route smoke proof now checks the app and miniapp preview pages, catalog names, redacted evidence, and blocked promotion labels.

CLI deploy plan dry-run

The CLI can now read local deploy manifests, write redacted plan evidence, and keep runtime, custody, billing, storage, domain, rollback, and release promotion blocked.

Deploy manifest intake

Safe local deployment manifests, retired dependency markers, proof blockers, and production-claim rejection are now public-alpha.

App shell catalog hardening

Proof-aware app and miniapp shell catalog, local preview routing, dependency-risk labels, and blocked native deployment claims are now public-alpha.

Security redteam hardening

Local redteam scripts, secret scans, fake-live claim blockers, hosted dependency checks, and audit rehearsal notes are now public-alpha.

Ref-consensus local certificates

Signed ref updates, append-only local ledgers, conflict evidence, double-sign detection, and blocked public consensus proofs are now public.

Push-local object manifests

Local bundle hashing, object manifests, safety scanning, ref certificate records, and blocked endpoint proofs are now public.

Repo records and issue/PR workflow

Repo IDs, append-only events, issue records, PR reviews, record-only merges, and mutation blockers are now public.

Local node API source

Loopback HTTP routes, local health/status, mutation blockers, and endpoint-gated storage/deploy/domain routes are now public.

MCP source

JSON-RPC stdio server source, beta tool schemas, structured blockers, and redaction checks are now public.

Git remote helper

Remote-helper source, URL parsing, ref-list diagnostics, and blocked transport decisions are now public.

CLI source

Local command helpers for push payloads, issues, pull requests, and MCP serve planning are now public.

TypeScript SDK

Typed client helpers, local examples, redaction, and proof-gated runtime methods are now public.

Miniapp templates

Local app shell metadata, miniapp manifests, and blocked-runtime checks are now public.

API and SDK tutorials

Local request-shape helpers, public read fixtures, and guarded agent-post examples are now public.

ROS adapters

Local launch plans, topic schemas, bridge fixtures, and boundary checks are now public.

Local simulator

Deterministic world stepping, an example agent/app/robot world, and digital twin JSON exports are now public.

Open developer layers

These are the public contribution tracks intended for builders.

Apache 2.0

ROS packages

Robot and agent adapters, message bridges, sample launch files, and local development workflows.

APIs and SDKs

Protocol types, client libraries, CLI commands, MCP tools, and signed-repo developer interfaces.

Simulators

Local simulation harnesses, example worlds, fixtures, and deterministic proof checkers.

Digital twin exporters

Portable scene, asset, manifest, and robot-state exporters for local inspection.

Apps and miniapps

GO-gated public app shells, compatibility adapters, manifests, and contribution docs after leak scans pass.

Docs and examples

Architecture notes, status pages, runbooks, templates, and public roadmap handoffs.

Reserved managed layers

These stay commercial because they operate the managed product.

Commercial

Managed orchestration

The hosted control plane, deployment coordinator, scheduling service, and account operations.

Large simulation capacity

The managed simulation cluster, pooled compute, queue allocation, and capacity tuning.

Platform optimizations

Proprietary schedulers, placement heuristics, cost controls, and managed scaling logic.

Enterprise controls

Organization governance, private policy packs, advanced audit workflows, and managed support.

Fleet dashboard

The commercial dashboard for managed device groups, usage, billing, and service-level workflows.

Secrets and custody

Operator credentials, private keys, managed signing custody, and infrastructure secrets.

Publication rules

Public work needs proof before stronger labels appear.

transparent

Every public push runs the public secret scan before publication.

GO-gated app and miniapp surfaces move public only after proof files show they are safe to publish.

Casterchain updates must appear from @casterai in the user-facing casterchain.online feed before they are labeled as Casterchain feed posts.

If the casterchain.online feed is externally blocked, the release must say blocked or link only to a labeled owned-infra receipt; it must not fabricate an in-feed post.

Twitter/X updates are posted from @casterchain with @gitcasterx, @CasterAI_, the GitHub repo, the GitCaster site, and the Casterchain post link.

Farcaster posts use the @casterchain account in /caster with the X post link and Casterchain post link.

Public update feed

Each update keeps the repo, website, X post, and Farcaster mirror tied together.

External audit intake packet

GitCaster now publishes a public-alpha external-audit intake packet for independent reviewers, with bounded review scope, public artifacts, strict claim-honesty checks, and blocked audit-completion proof paths. This is not an external audit completion claim.

Casterchain, X, and Farcaster posting receipts are still blocked until the user-facing casterchain.online feed bridge and owned social receipt chain are proven.

Capabilities layer

GitCaster now includes public-alpha capabilities for scoped local delegations, deterministic hashes, signature checks, expiry/resource blockers, redacted fixtures, and local smoke proof.

The canonical casterchain.online feed post is still blocked by the legacy app storage circuit; do not treat this as an in-feed Casterchain post.
